Screws of adjustment of headlights of head light

It is very important that the direction of a beam of headlights of head light was correctly adjusted. At the wrong adjustment of a headlight can blind the driver of the oncoming car and lead to a road accident or seriously reduce for you visibility of the road.

It is necessary to check adjustment of headlights of head light each 12 months and every time after installation of new headlights or repair of forward part of a body of the car.

It is necessary to emphasize that the operation on adjustment described below is only a temporary measure until headlights of head light are adjusted in the auto repair shop having the necessary equipment.

Adjustment
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On these models two adjusting screws are provided, one is located sideways and controls the movement to the left – to the right and one from below and controls the movement up – down. Access to them can be got behind a headlight.
2. There are some methods of adjustment of headlights of head light. When using the simplest method, the pure wall, an adhesive tape and an equal floor is necessary.
3. Paste two strips of an adhesive tape vertically on a wall on the middle of each of headlights of head light, at height of headlights.
4. Paste the second strip of an adhesive tape on a wall horizontally on the center of headlights of head light. The tape on a wall will be easier to be pasted if to park the car in only several centimeters from a wall.
5. Adjustment needs to be carried out when the car costs on an equal surface, at distance in 8 meters from a wall, the fuel tank has to be half filled, and in the car there should not be too heavy freight.
6. Since adjustment of headlights of a passing beam, establish a zone of the brightest light of headlights 5 cm lower than the horizontal line and on 5 cm from the vertical line to the right. Turning adjusting screws, finish the demanded direction of a beam.
7. At the included headlights of a driving beam, the zone of the greatest brightness has to precisely on the center of vertical strips, is slightly lower than a horizontal strip. Perhaps, you not manage to establish headlights so that precisely to adjust the direction of a beam for near and far light of headlights. If you have to make a compromise between these two adjustments, do not forget that the passing beam of headlights is used more often and has bigger value for safety of driving.
8. Without postponing, address to experts for adjustment of headlights of head light.

Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the negative plug of the accumulator.
Prevention

If the stereoplayer of your car has system of the coding, check, whether you know a code of activation of the player before an accumulator detachment.
2. Remove a lattice of facing of a radiator (see subsection 11.26).
3. Remove a parking headlight (see subsection 12.15).
4. Turn off fixing a bolt of fastening of a headlight of head light to a radiator cross-piece.
5. After removal of a parking lamp, it is possible to get access to two lateral fixing nuts (are specified by shooters).
6. Get a headlight forward to disconnect fastening in a bottom corner (it is specified by an arrow).
7. Remove a bulb (see subsection 12.13).
8. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.
