GENERAL INFORMATION

If the engine is not started and the starter does not rotate

If the car is equipped with automatic transmission, be convinced that the lever of the selector is in the situation Park or Neutral.

Open a cowl and be convinced of purity of poles of the battery and reliability of fastening of plugs.

Include headlights and try to start the engine. If at start of the engine of a headlight burn very dimly, the discharged battery is the main cause of failure of start-up. Start the engine from the battery of other car, observing a start-up order in emergency situation.

If the engine is not started at normally working starter

Whether there is a fuel in a tank?

Whether there is a moisture on details and devices of electric equipment of the engine?

Switch off ignition and wipe moisture congestion places a dry rag. Apply water aerosol repellent (WD-40 or equivalent) on sockets.

Arrangement of sockets of fuel system and system of ignition

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check reliability of connection of A, V, S, D sockets (cm. rice. An arrangement of sockets of fuel system and system of ignition) at the switched-off ignition. If there is a suspicion on moisture hit, process water aerosol repellent of WD-40.
	2. Check reliability of connection of high-voltage wires (A) with spark plugs.
	3. Check reliability of connection of high-voltage wires (B) with an ignition distributor cover
	4. Check that all sockets of system of ignition (for example, I will corrode on the distributor (C)) were dry and if necessary apply water repellent.
	5. Check purity of poles of the battery and reliability of fastening of plugs (D).
6. Especially attentively check the low-voltage socket of the coil of ignition and high-voltage wires.
