Reading

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For reading of diagnostic codes first of all be convinced that tension of the battery is not lower than 11 V, the butterfly valve is completely closed, the control lever of a check point is established in neutral situation, switches on the dashboard are switched off and the engine is heated-up up to the normal temperature.
2. Turn the ignition key on in the situation ON (the engine do not start).
3. Close nakorotko contacts of TE1 and E1 of the diagnostic socket a crossing point.

Prevention

Connection to system of self-diagnostics is provided as with via the diagnostic N1 socket located in a motor compartment or via the diagnostic N2 socket mounted under the dashboard from the driver.


4. Consider a diagnostic code by number of flashes of the control light index of CHECK-ENGINE on the dashboard. To a normal state of system at all cars there corresponds the N1 code. The N1 code is represented by a periodic blinking of the control light index with an interval of 0,25 seconds.
5. Number of a code is visualized and read out as follows. At first the first series of flashes which quantity corresponds to the first figure of number of a code follows, then the pause follows, then the second series of flashes the quantity of blinkings in which corresponds to the second figure of number of a code follows. For example, the code 24 (a code of the sensor of temperature of the sucked-in air) will be represented as follows: at first two flashes, follow then a pause and further 4 more flashes. Duration of flashes will be identical, however pause duration between figures of number of codes will differ. The exception makes only a code 1 (normal work) which will continue to flash without pauses.
6. If in system there are any failures, the codes of violations corresponding to them remain in memory of the computer and the lamp will blink so many time, how many it is necessary for definition of a code of refusal. If in memory there is more than one code of refusal, these codes will be displayed in ascending order of number (from smaller to bigger), with a pause between them. After the light index displays a code with the greatest number of flashes, one more pause will follow, and all sequence of display of codes will repeat from the very beginning.

Prevention

At display of diagnostic codes of malfunction with numbers 25, 26, 27 and 71 use of special function of the self-diagnostics called "logic of double check" is provided. The essence consists that final record of refusal in memory happens on the basis of these two arrivals of the car. At first during a trip to memory the code with the specified number is temporarily brought. Then the engine should be stopped then to start again and to make the second trip. After the second trip refusal is constantly stored in memory of the electronic control unit. Such order provides record of steady refusal and allows to exclude false record. In principle the system of self-diagnostics provides steady record of refusals with the specified codes, however in case the owner wants to recheck reliability of record of codes, it will be necessary to make two control arrivals and to be convinced of safety of these codes.


7. In order that it is correct to interpret codes by flashes of the control light index, watch closely pauses between the termination of one code and the beginning of the following, otherwise incorrect definition of number of flashes and the wrong interpretation of display of a code are possible (duration of pauses depends on a year of release of model).

Cancellation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. After replacement or repair of the faulty unit, the refusal code which is written down in memory of the computer has to be cancelled. For this purpose, at the switched-off ignition get for the period of not less than 10 seconds a safety lock (1) system of electronic injection of fuel with rated current 15 A.
2. The written-down code can be cancelled if the battery to disconnect from weight, however thus also other useful information (installation of hours or setup of the receiver) will be also destroyed.
3. If the diagnostic code is not cancelled, it will remain in memory of the electronic control unit and will appear with new codes in case of further detection of failures.
4. If it is necessary to perform any works on the engine what requires a battery detachment from weight, always previously check record of a diagnostic code.
