GENERAL INFORMATION

The octane number deviation from norm in modern brands of gasoline can cause a detonation in the engine. A detonation sometimes call "explosion from a spark". In the absence of a detonation the sensor gives tension signal in the control unit which provides optimum installation of a corner of ignition. When the sensor of a detonation registers abnormal splashes in pressure (detonation) there is a disconnection from the control unit and the corner of an advancing of ignition decreases before disappearance of a detonation. At any failures in operation of the sensor in memory the code 52 registers.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The detonation sensor (it is specified by an arrow) is installed from the inside of the engine (from a partition of a motor compartment), under the soaking-up collector. For access to the sensor of a detonation it is necessary to uncover the soaking-up collector and the soaking-up collector (see subsection 3.1.1.4).
2. Connect an ohmmeter to a conclusion of the sensor and to the case. The device has to show the opened chain.
3. If the chain is closed, replace the sensor.
