3.1.1.12. Oil pallet

GENERAL INFORMATION

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Put the car on the emergency brake and block back wheels.
3. Lift forward part of the car and establish on supports.
4. Remove two plastic mudguards of the engine.
5. Merge oil from the engine and remove an oil filter. Pick up the phone of the index of level of oil and the oil probe.
6. Disconnect the socket from the oxygen sensor.
7. Turn off two nuts of fastening of an exhaust pipe of forward section of the muffler to a final collector and two bolts (with nuts) fastenings of a pipe to terminal section of the muffler.
8. Turn off two bolts (arrow) of fastening of a longitudinal arm of a frame of a body and two nuts (shooters) of fastening of a support of the engine from a radiator.
L engines 1,3 and 1,6
9. On engines of 1,6 l turn off bolts (are specified by shooters) and remove an arm of fastening of transmission to the engine.
10. Turn off bolts and remove the oil pallet. If the pallet because of sticking does not give in to removal, try to loosen it, very carefully having hooked the pallet a small screw-driver or the pallet. At removal do not damage the demountable planes of the block of cylinders and the pallet, otherwise oil leaks are possible.
Engines of 1,8 l
11. On engines of 1,8 l the steel oil pallet fastens to the intensifying section from an aluminum alloy intended for increase of rigidity of fastening of transmission to the engine. The arm provided on engines of 1,6 l no.

Prevention

As a pallet sealant the manufacturer provided use of sealant with a high mechanical durability that complicates separation of the steel pallet from an aluminum partition. Consolidation should be destroyed by the pallet, performing work accurately and slowly.


12. Turn off bolts and nuts of hairpins on perimeter of the oil pallet, then carefully hook the pallet, having inserted the tool between the pallet and aluminum section. Do not damage a soft surface of section or the demountable plane of the pallet.
13. Turn off two bolts and two nuts of fastening of a maslootrazhatelny plate and remove a plate. Turn off bolts of fastening of an oil receiver with the filter of rough cleaning and remove an oil receiver for cleaning.
14. If necessary turn off nuts and bolts of fastening of intensifying section to the block of cylinders and transmission. Carefully, trying not to scratch the demountable plane, hook and remove section. Six bolts are in that part of section which was closed by the oil pallet. One of bolts has has a head under a six-sided key (it is specified by an arrow).
15. For access to bolts between intensifying section and a trasmissiya (are specified by shooters) it is required to unbend an exhaust pipe down in a place of a flexible joint and to give down a longitudinal arm of a frame.

Prevention

Do not try to make effort for section until be convinced that all fasteners are turned out. In the right forward part of section there are two bolts under a six-sided key. Their otvorachivaniye requires a six-sided key with a hinged head. In the absence of such key (which the bolt with an internal six-sided head at a small angle allows to turn off), it is required to remove the compressor of the conditioner and an arm (see subsection 4.12) then bolts can be turned off a usual G-shaped six-sided key.



Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Carefully scrape off the consolidation material remains from the demountable planes of the block of cylinders and the oil pallet. Wash out the condensed planes solvent of varnishes or acetone.
2. Be convinced of purity of carving openings in the block of cylinders.
3. Check existence on the demountable plane of the pallet of deformations, especially about openings under bolts. If necessary align the demountable plane a hammer, having laid the pallet on a wooden board.
4. Check a condition of an oil receiver, existence on it of cracks and a contamination of the filter of rough cleaning. On l engines 1,3 and 1,6 carefully wash out an oil receiver (if it was removed) and before statement into place replace a sealing ring. Tighten bolts and nuts of an oil receiver with the moment specified in subsection 3.1.1.1).
5. Apply sealant with a diameter about 5 mm drops on the condensed (demountable) plane of the pallet (on l engines 1,3 and 1,6) (see rice. Places of putting RTV sealant on the demountable plane of the oil pallet (l engines 1,3 and 1,6)) or intensifying section (on engines of 1,8 l) (see rice. Places of putting RTV sealant on intensifying section of the engine and transmission (engines of 1,8 l)).

Prevention

The detail has to be established no later than 5 minutes after putting sealant.


6. Carefully install the pallet (or intensifying section) on the block of cylinders and wrap bolts. In three-four receptions tighten pallet bolts with the moment specified in subsection 3.1.1.1), beginning an inhaling in the central part. On engines of 1,8 l establish a plate of a maslootrazhatel and an oil receiver with the filter of rough cleaning. Replace an oil receiver tube sealant. On engines of 1,8 l tighten bolts of fastening of aluminum intensifying section with the set moment and install the oil pallet, previously having put sealant drops (see rice. Places of putting RTV sealant on the demountable plane of the oil pallet (engines of 1,8 l)).
7. Other operations on assembly are carried out upside-down. Fill in oil in the engine and replace the filter. Replace laying of an exhaust pipe of the muffler.
8. Start the engine and be convinced of lack of leaks.
