Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Disconnect the battery from weight. |
Prevention
If the stereoradio tape recorder of the car is equipped with security system, before a battery detachment from weight be convinced that you know an activation code.

2. Merge cooling liquid and turn out candles (see subsection 2.8.2).
|
3. Merge oil from the engine and remove an oil filter (see subsection 2.5.2). |
4. Remove a chamber of a butterfly valve, a nozzle and the distributor of fuel (see subsection 5.12). |
5. Remove the soaking-up collector (see subsection 3.1.1.4). |
6. Remove a final collector (see subsection 3.1.1.5). |
Prevention
The soaking-up collector and final can be removed collectors together with a head of cylinders for final dismantling at the stand.

7. Remove the conducted cam-shaft gear wheel (see subsection 3.1.1.8) and a gear belt (see subsection 3.1.1.6). |
8. Remove cam-shafts and pushers
(cm. subsection 3.1.1.9, subsection 3.1.1.10). |
9. Remove the generator and the distributor of ignition (see subsection 3.3.6 and subsection 3.3.11). |
10. Put tags and remove other details (fastenings of pipes of the cooling system, cables, hoses and conducting). |

12. Disconnect cooling system branch pipes from a head of cylinders. After performance of this operation it is possible to start a final stage of removal of a head of cylinders. |
13. By means of a key with a six-sided head and the extender release bolts of a head of cylinders, turning off each bolt on 1/4 turns at one time. Release bolts in sequence, return specified for an inhaling (see rice. Sequence of an inhaling of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders (engines of 1,3 l) and rice. Sequence of an inhaling of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders (engines of 1,6 l and 1,8 l)) to avoid deformation and cracks in a head of cylinders. |

14. Remove a head of cylinders. If the head does not give in to removal, very carefully hook a head from transmission for inflow, it is not allowed to separate a head in other places. |
15. Remove other details that is necessary for survey and careful cleaning from a head. Operations on repair of a head of cylinders are described in subsection 3.1.2.7). |

Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Before installation carefully clear demountable surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders. |

2. Scrape off a deposit and the remains of material of laying. Demountable surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders have to be absolutely pure to provide reliable consolidation. |
3. Wash out a demountable surface of a head of cylinders solvent of varnishes or acetone. If on the plane of the block of cylinders oil traces remained, laying of a head will not condense a place of a joint of a head and the block and at operation oil leaks will start developing. When working on the block of cylinders to a natolkayta in cylinders of pure rags to prevent hit of firm particles when cleaning. Dirt, got to cylinders, remove with the vacuum cleaner or by means of other suitable device. |
4. Check existence on the demountable planes of a head and the block of cylinders of zadir, chips, hollows and other damages. Insignificant damages can be eliminated with a file, in the presence of serious damages the head or the block are subject to repolishing. |
5. Close an adhesive tape carving openings in a head of cylinders and blow compressed air all channels and openings. Be convinced of purity of openings. During the work with compressed air put on goggles. |
6. Banish a carving of each bolt a die, having clamped a bolt in a vice to remove corrosion and to restore the damaged carving. Dirt, a rust, the remains of consolidation and the damaged strings of a carving complicate a wraparound of a bolt and can be the reason of wrong indications of the moment at an inhaling. |
7. Establish into place all details removed when dismantling a head. |

8. Put new laying on the block of cylinders, focusing on pins. Pay attention to a tag of "UP" ("top") on laying. |
9. Carefully put a head on the block of cylinders, without violating the provision of laying. |
10. Before a wraparound of bolts oil persistent surfaces of heads of bolts for the engine. |
11. Wrap by hand bolts of a head of cylinders on their former places. Wrap short bolts on the party of inlet valves, and long - from final. Tighten bolts with the set moment in the specified sequence (see rice. Sequence of an inhaling of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders (engines of 1,3 l) and rice. Sequence of an inhaling of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders (engines of 1,6 l and 1,8 l)). On engines of 1,3 l tighten bolts of a head of cylinders in two steps, and on l engines 1,6 and 1,8 – in three steps. Value of the moment of an inhaling is specified in in subsection 3.1.1.1). At 2 and 3 stages of an inhaling bolts dovorachivatsya on 1/4 turns (90 °). At absence on your dinamometrichesky key of an angular scale it is possible to apply with paint risks on a head of each bolt and to tighten so that risk turned on 90 °ot initial situation (stage 2). On engines of 1,6 l and 1,8 l tighten bolts for 90 °, i.e. each bolt has to turn concerning the 1st stage of an inhaling on 180 °. |
12. Other operations on assembly are carried out upside-down. |
Prevention
If when dismantling the semicircular cap of a cam-shaft of inlet valves on a head of cylinders was removed, before installation into place grease a cap with sealant like RTV.

13. Before installation of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders check and if necessary adjust gaps in the mechanism of the drive of valves (see subsection 2.1). |
14. After completion of works fill the cooling system with liquid and restore oil level in the engine (see subsection 2.3). |
15. Start the engine, check, whether there are leaks. Determine the ignition moment (see subsection 3.3.7) and carry out test of road performance of the car, having made a trip. |
