Survey

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn off nuts of fastening of a wheel, lift the car and establish it on support. Remove a wheel and put two clamps for fastening of a disk.
2. Remove a brake support, being guided by the instructions provided in (see subsection 9.4) (a disk of forward brakes) or (see subsection 9.6) (a disk of back brakes). The brake hose does not need to be disconnected.
3. After bolts of fastening of a support are turned off, suspend a support on a piece of a wire so that it did not disturb further work,
4. Turn off two bolts of fastening of the holder of blocks to a rotary fist or an arm of a nave and remove the holder of blocks.
5. Examine a surface of a brake disk on existence of scratches or other damages. Slight scratches and small flutes are normal and usually do not influence negatively work of brakes, but deep (as in drawing) scratch – over 1,0 mm – demand removal of a disk and processing of its surface in auto repair shop.
6. Check both parties of a disk. If when braking you experienced twitching of a pedal of a brake, check a disk beating.
7. For check of a beating of a disk install the dial measuring instrument approximately in in 12,5 mm from an outer edge of a disk (drawing at the left). Install the indicator on zero and rotate a disk. Indications of the sensor should not exceed an admissible limit. If they exceed, the disk needs to be restored in auto repair shop.

8. The surface of a disk needs to be processed irrespective of indications of the dial measuring instrument as it will create ideally smooth surface that guarantees good work of brakes. As a last resort, if you decide not to restore a disk surface then remove the luster formed on a disk surface by means of an emery paper, deleting luster with roundabouts.
9. It is the extremely important that after restoration of a surface of a disk its thickness did not decrease less admissible limit. Minimum admissible thickness of a disk (on reaching which the disk needs to be replaced) is designated on inside a disk.
10. Thickness of a disk can be checked by means of a micrometer.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Turn off nuts which were established for deduction of a brake disk, and remove a disk from a nave.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a disk on bolts.
2. Establish the holder of blocks and a support on a brake disk and insert fastening bolts to a rotary fist or an arm of a nave. Tighten bolts of fastening of the holder of blocks and a support till the demanded inhaling moment (see the tab. Moments of an inhaling of threaded connections).
3. Establish a wheel, then lower the car on the earth. Tighten nuts of fastening of wheels till the demanded inhaling moment (see the tab. Moments of an inhaling of threaded connections). Squeeze out a brake pedal several times to grind in brake shoes to a disk. It is optional to carry out pumping of brake system if the brake hose was not disconnected from a support. Check work of brakes before normal operation of the car.
