1.5.28. Index of temperature of cooling liquid

GENERAL INFORMATION

Type A

1. Overheat

2. Normal temperature

Type B

1. Overheat

2. Normal temperature

The index works when the ignition key is in the situation On.

the emperatura of cooling liquid of the engine depends on loading of the engine and weather conditions. If the arrow is in a red zone above, stop the car and let's cool down to the engine.

The overheat of the engine is possible at severe conditions of the movement:

 – at long rise in hot weather;
 – at reduction of speed or at a car stop after a trip at great speed;
 – during the long work idling with the switched-on conditioner and with frequent stops in the course of the movement;
 – when using the car as the towing.

Prevention

It is forbidden to remove the thermostat as the movement without thermostat will lead to an engine overheat. The thermostat is intended for regulation of a stream of cooling liquid and maintenance of temperature of the engine in working limits.

The movement with the superheated engine is forbidden (see subsection 1.6.5).
