10.7. Rotary fist and nave

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

The dust formed as a result of wear of brake shoes contains the asbestos hazardous to health. It is forbidden to use solvents on the basis of gasoline for cleaning of the mechanism of brakes. Use only alcohol or a special cleaner for the mechanism of brakes.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn off nuts of fastening of a wheel, lift the car and establish it on support. Remove a wheel.
2. Get adjustable to the check and remove a cap of a nut of fastening of a half shaft.
3. Turn off and remove a nut of fastening of a half shaft and a washer. In order that the nave did not rotate, insert lomik between two bolts of fastening of a wheel and establish it so that the end of a lomik rested against the earth or the panel of a floor.
4. To get a half shaft from nave shlits, strike on the end of a shaft with a hammer with a brass head or use to copper small beards.
Prevention

Do not try get the end of a half shaft from a nave so far. If you make too big effort for a half shaft, you can damage it or a transmission.


5. Remove a brake support (see subsection 9.6) and a brake disk (see subsection 9.7), remove a brake hose from a suspension bracket rack.
6. If on the car the system of ABS is installed, disconnect and remove the sensor of speed of rotation of a wheel.
7. Turn off, but do not remove nuts and bolts, fastenings of a rotary fist to a suspension bracket rack (see subsection 10.2).
8. Remove the end of steering draft from the lever of a rotary fist (see subsection 10.17).
9. Turn off a bolt and nuts of fastening of the spherical hinge to the suspension bracket lever.
10. Get a half shaft from a nave and suspend the end of a half shaft on a wire.
11. By means of the tool for division of spherical hinges or a small stripper, remove the spherical hinge from a rotary fist.
12. Now it is possible to remove bolts of fastening of a rotary fist to a suspension bracket rack.
13. Accurately remove a rotary fist from a suspension bracket rack.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a rotary fist and a nave into place, having inserted a half shaft into a nave.
2. Establish a rotary fist on a rack, insert bolts and acquire nuts, do not tighten a nut up to the end so far.
3. If you removed the spherical hinge from an old rotary fist for installation on a new rotary fist, install the hinge and put the clamp of fastening of the hinge till the demanded inhaling moment (see subsection 10.1).
4. Install the spherical hinge on the suspension bracket lever (see subsection 10.5), but do not tighten a bolt and fixing nuts so far.
5. Establish steering draft on the lever of a rotary fist (see subsection 10.17). Put the clamps of fastening of a rotary fist to a suspension bracket rack, a bolt and nuts of fastening of the spherical hinge to the lever a suspension bracket and a nut of fastening of steering draft till the demanded inhaling moments (see subsection 10.1).
6. Establish a brake disk on a nave and establish a brake support, being guided by the instructions provided in the corresponding chapter.
7. Establish a nut of fastening of a half shaft and tighten it till the demanded inhaling moment (see subsection 10.1).
8. Establish a wheel and acquire nuts of fastening of a wheel.
9. Lower the car on the earth and tighten nuts of fastening of a wheel till the demanded inhaling moment (see subsection 10.1).
10. Address to experts for check and if it is necessary, adjustments of installation of forward wheels.
13. Accurately remove a rotary fist from a suspension bracket rack.
