1.6.4.1. Installation of the hook-on device

GENERAL INFORMATION

The manufacturer recommends to use the coupling device (an arm and a spherical support) of Toyota firm.

Installation sites of an arm and spherical support of the coupling device are given in tables, the sizes are specified in mm.

Tires

Check pressure in car tires (see subsection 2.4).

Pressure in tires of the trailer has to correspond specified in the instruction of the manufacturer of the trailer for this full mass of the trailer.

Light alarm system

At each connection of the trailer check serviceability of stoplights and indexes of turn. Direct merging of conducting can lead to failure of electric equipment of the car and to failure of the light alarm system.

Towing in the period of a running in

The manufacturer does not recommend to tow the trailer the car with the new engine and units and details of transmission and a running gear (a box, differential, bearings of wheels, etc.) throughout the first 800 km of run.

Maintenance

Because of additional loading when towing the trailer the car demands more frequent leaving and maintenance.

Check an inhaling of bolts of fastening of an arm and a spherical support of the coupling device through each 1000 km of towing.

Security measures

Observe cargo standards (cm. subsection 1.6.4).

Be convinced of reliability of fastening of the placed freight.

At insufficient visibility of the transport going behind establish additional rear-view mirrors. The provision of both additional mirrors has to be regulated to provide the sufficient review behind.
